Looking Glass Falls
Along with nearby Looking Glass Rock, Looking Glass Falls is one of the most popular sites to see in Pisgah National Forest.
Located south of Asheville near the town of Brevard, the area is the home of the Cradle of Forestry, and the site of the Biltmore Forest School, which trained the country’s first generation of forest rangers between 1898 and 1914.
At over 500,000 acres, the forest covers more than fifteen North Carolina counties and has three separate districts: Pisgah, Grandfather, and Appalachian. Each time I visit, I feel like I have only scratched the surface.
